Supervisor Information
Associate Professor Taotao Qiu
$Personal Experience$ In 2004, I got my bachelor degree in the Department of Physics in Shandong University, China. Then in 2009, I gained my master and Ph.D. degrees together in Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After that, I worked as a postdoc in Chung-Yuan Christian University, Taiwan and a Distinguished Junior Fellow in Leung Center for Cosmology and Particle Astrophysics, National Taiwan University, Taiwan. From 2013 on I worked as an associate professor in the Institute of Astrophysics, Department of Physics Science and Technology, Central China Normal University. In 2014 I was selected as a member of “Chu-Tian scholarship” talent program.
$Research field$ Cosmology, including: theories of the early universe (especially inflation and bouncing cosmology), theories of modified gravity, gravitational waves, theories of dark energy and so on.
Selected achievements:
2007: proved “no-go” theorem for equation of state of dark energy to go across the cosmological constant boundary;
2010: firstly studied non-Gaussianities of generalized non-minimal coupling inflation models;
2012~2014: studied equivalence between Einstein and Jordan frames;
2011~now: studied single-field bounce model buildings, with various theoretical problems solved and conditions for healthy models given.
$Research achievement$ I have published more than 40 academic articles in the SCI journals, and has gained more than 1600 citations. The highest-cited paper has up to 200 citations, and four papers have over 100 citations each. I’m in charge of 3 funding programs:
Program I: “Researches On the Early Universe Models”, Open Project Program of State Key Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, 100,000 Yuan/2 years (finished)
Program II: “Researches on the Perturbations of General Non-minimal Coupling Multi-field Inflation”, Open Project Program of Key Laboratory of Quark and Lepton Physics, Central China Normal University, China, 10,000 Yuan/2 years (finished)
Program III: “Researches on Bouncing Cosmology after PLANCK”, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 230,000 Yuan/3 years (finished)
Program IV: “Researches related to Cosmological Bouncing Models”, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 580,000 Yuan/4 years (in use)
And participate 1 funding programs as core member:
Program I: “Studies on Theories on the Origin and Evolution of the Universe, and the Statistical Analysis on CMB B mode polarization”, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 4,000,000 Yuan/5 years (in use)
