Ⅰ、Majors Introduction
The major of physics in Central China Normal University has more than 100 years of history. Through many years of construction, the major has already become a brand specialty which has rich resources of the teaching staff, the advanced teaching philosophy, all kinds of teaching equipments, good teaching environment, and has trained thousands of people who are engaged in physical teaching and research. In 2007, as one of the six affiliated universities of the Ministry of Education, Central China Normal University started the free education policy for normal university students. Under the guidance of the educational goal of CCNU:“becoming a comprehensive research university with distinct feature of teacher education”, the students and faculties has been worked together, dedicated to develop the major into first-class education base of fundamental physics. Now, our college has two first-level MA programs: physics curriculum and pedagogy, teaching (physics) to provide graduate students the training phase.
Ⅱ、Cultivation Target
This major aims to cultivate the students who has good political and ideological quality and solid foundation in physics, with strong teaching practical ability and potential for expansion, and with a creative spirit, so that they can participate in high school physics teaching and related fields of scientific research.
